Concert
Mathieu Gaudet is a pianist with an unusual background who has truly made a vocation of Schubert’s works. Among the pieces on the program are the Four Impromptus, D. 899. These tremendously popular works were written in the fall of 1827. The first and third Impromptus are in a more lyrical vein, while the second and fourth have more of an étude feel. As you’re carried along on these streams of melody, you’ll be touched by the essence of the composer and his world. Be there for the ride!
