Artists :
Richard Zheng
From a young age, Richard Zheng performed in solo with the ensemble I Musici de Montréal. While studying in Canada, he also played as a soloist with the Montreal Conservatory Symphony Orchestra. Involved on the Canadian scene, we heard him at the Stepping Stone Finals of the Canadian Music Competition and at the Orford Music Festival in solo and chamber ensemble. He takes part in various orchestral workshops in Europe, including the Schleswig-Holstein Festival in Germany, where he distinguished himself as concertmaster, and the Verbier Festival in Switzerland. In those orchestras, he collaborates among others with Valery Gergiev, Joshua Bell and Midori Gotō.
Richard holds a Baccalaureate in performance as well as an Artist’s Diploma from the Montreal Conservatory of Music in Anne Robert’s studio. He is currently completing a Masters degree at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh with Andrés Cárdenes. Richard plays a Lorenzo Storioni 1780 violin graciously provided by Canimex from Drummondville (Quebec, Canada).
Roxanne Sicard
Passionate about music, Roxanne Sicard has performed as a guest soloist with the Ensemble Sinfonia de Montréal, the Sinfonia de Lanaudière and the Montreal Conservatory Symphony Orchestra. Particularly enjoying symphonic music, Roxanne participates in workshops with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada (NYO Canada). She distinguished herself as concertmaster and received an award of excellence for four consecutive years. She thus took part in several tours in Canada, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Scotland and France. In the summer of 2020, she took part in the contemporary music program HATCH – Continuum Contemporary Music ensemble.
Roxanne has a Baccalaureate and a Masters degree in performance from the Montreal Conservatory of Music in Anne Robert’s studio. She continued her studies at McGill University in the class of Andrew Wan where she obtained a Graduate Diploma in Performance. Roxanne plays with a Carlo Antonio Testore 1741 violin graciously provided by the Canimex from Drummondville (Quebec, Canada).
