William van der Sloot is a celebrated violinist and educator whose students have achieved recognition on a global scale. Hailing from Alberta, Canada, he is an alumnus of the University of Calgary and furthered his studies at the Eastman School of Music. With an extensive touring history encompassing Europe and North America, he has established himself as a prominent figure in the world of music. He is also a former member of the Villa Marteau Quintet.
During your stay at Orford Music, you will create unforgettable memories while evolving into the artist you aspire to be. Orford Music’s master classes are unique opportunities to work on your goals with the mentors of your choice.
The master classes include the following:
- Master classes, individual lessons or technical courses lasting 2.5 hours per week
- Opportunity to perform in student concerts
- Access to a collaborative pianist
- Networking activities with faculty members and the student community
- Accommodation in double occupancy and three meals per day.
- Practice studios equipped with pianos (available from 7AM to 12AM)
- Housekeeping, laundry facilities, parking, and free Wi-Fi
- Free tickets for concerts at Salle Gilles-Lefebvre (subject to availability)
- Opportunity to discover the beautiful landscapes of Parc national du Mont-Orford, the majestic Lake Memphremagog, and the tourist activities of the city of Magog
- Rehearsal studios equipped with pianos (available from 6AM to 11PM)
