Best known as the concertmaster of the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra, Marie Bérard is also a sought-after chamber musician, soloist, recording artist and teacher. Ms. Bérard received her training at the Trois-Rivières Conservatory and further studies took her to the University of Toronto where she studied with David Zafer. Other teachers include Lorand Fenyves, Sydney Harth and Nathan Milstein. Ms. Bérard is a member of Trio Arkel, alongside colleagues Rémi Pelletier and Winona Zelenka.
During your stay at Orford Music, you will create unforgettable memories while evolving into the artist you aspire to be. Orford Music’s master classes are unique opportunities to work on your goals with the mentors of your choice.
The master classes include the following:
- Master classes, individual lessons or technical courses lasting 2.5 hours per week
- Opportunity to perform in student concerts
- Access to a collaborative pianist
- Networking activities with faculty members and the student community
- Accommodation in double occupancy and three meals per day.
- Practice studios equipped with pianos (available from 7AM to 12AM)
- Housekeeping, laundry facilities, parking, and free Wi-Fi
- Free tickets for concerts at Salle Gilles-Lefebvre (subject to availability)
- Opportunity to discover the beautiful landscapes of Parc national du Mont-Orford, the majestic Lake Memphremagog, and the tourist activities of the city of Magog
- Rehearsal studios equipped with pianos (available from 6AM to 11PM)
