Amir Eldan has an extensive career as a soloist, chamber musician, and guest principal cellist. He previously held the position of Principal Cello with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and served as a guest Principal Cello with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. At the age of 22, he made history by becoming the youngest member of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in New York, where he won the position of Associate Principal Cello. In this role, he had the opportunity to perform with the MET Chamber Ensemble at Carnegie Hall.
During your stay at Orford Music, you will create unforgettable memories while evolving into the artist you aspire to be. Orford Music’s master classes are unique opportunities to work on your goals with the mentors of your choice.
The master classes include the following:
- Master classes, individual lessons or technical courses lasting 2.5 hours per week
- Opportunity to perform in student concerts
- Access to a collaborative pianist
- Networking activities with faculty members and the student community
- Accommodation in double occupancy and three meals per day.
- Practice studios equipped with pianos (available from 7AM to 12AM)
- Housekeeping, laundry facilities, parking, and free Wi-Fi
- Free tickets for concerts at Salle Gilles-Lefebvre (subject to availability)
- Opportunity to discover the beautiful landscapes of Parc national du Mont-Orford, the majestic Lake Memphremagog, and the tourist activities of the city of Magog
- Rehearsal studios equipped with pianos (available from 6AM to 11PM)
