Recognized as a brilliant musician, both authentic and versatile, Jimmy Brière leads a remarkable career as a pianist and pedagogue. He is invited regularly as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Canada and abroad. Jimmy Brière has been a guest soloist of numerous orchestras including the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, l’Orchestre de la Francophonie, the I Musici de Montréal chamber orchestra, the Orchestra Classica of Porto, the Pleven Philharmonic, the Ruse Philharmonic and the South Bend Symphony, amongst others.
During your stay at Orford Music, you will create unforgettable memories while evolving into the artist you aspire to be. Orford Music’s master classes are unique opportunities to work on your goals with the mentors of your choice.
The master classes include the following:
- Master classes, individual lessons or technical courses lasting 2.5 hours per week
- Opportunity to perform in student concerts
- Access to a collaborative pianist
- Networking activities with faculty members and the student community
- Accommodation in double occupancy and three meals per day.
- Practice studios equipped with pianos (available from 7AM to 12AM)
- Housekeeping, laundry facilities, parking, and free Wi-Fi
- Free tickets for concerts at Salle Gilles-Lefebvre (subject to availability)
- Opportunity to discover the beautiful landscapes of Parc national du Mont-Orford, the majestic Lake Memphremagog, and the tourist activities of the city of Magog
- Rehearsal studios equipped with pianos (available from 6AM to 11PM)
