Felipe de Souza was born in Sorocaba, Brazil, in 1995. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in music (piano) from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil), a Master’s degree in music (piano) from the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe (Germany), and a Doctorate in music (Piano Accompaniment) from the Université de Montréal (Canada). Currently, he is pursuing a second Doctorate in music, specializing in Piano Performance, at the same university.
As a collaborative pianist, Felipe has performed at the Festival Virtuosi na Serra, accompanying violinist Elisa Fukuda in a program featuring works by Beethoven and Schumann. He has also participated in the Encontro de Flautistas de Santa Cruz do Rio Pardo and the Curso Master de Música de Itu, collaborating with professors and students.
He contributed to the recording of the album Cantos de Saudade, featuring works by Osvaldo Lacerda for voice and piano. Additionally, he worked as a collaborative pianist at ICAV – Canadian Institute of Vocal Arts, accompanying students in classes, recordings, and performances, and is the piano accompanist for the Italian Diction Course at the Université de Montréal.
