collectif9 presents works by Mahler, Ligeti and Prokofiev, transformed from their original form into chamber music for nine performers. The arrangements, tailor-made for the group, create textures and effects that will transport listeners to a world of fantasy. The musical selection features folk melodies performed with a tad of mischief and sarcasm, adding a touch of irony to these normally “solemn” pieces.
