From April 16th to 30th, Orford Music presents a series of works by Townships artist Alexi-Martin Courtemanch, created using Da Vinci’s own « sfumato » technique and inspired by Da Vinci’s fascination with human anatomy.
The sfumato technique was revolutionary in its time. By applying multiple layers of paint, the artist creates a soft, almost translucent transition between shapes and colours, which in turn leads to a greater realism and sense of depth.
Espace Yves-Trudeau is open to the public when there is an event being presented in the concert hall.
