Comedian and TV personality, Stéphane Fallu, will be our spokesperson for the event. As the host of Refuge animal (Animal Shelter), his work highlights the day-to-day reality of shelter staff and of the animals in their care.

Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals
March 15, 4 pm
A multimedia concert experience featuring students from Orford Music’s youth programs. Children from the Magog Montessori elementary and Orford Montessori secondary schools and the École Ste-Marguerite ensemble present the Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns (1835 – 1921).

Guest Speaker: George Laraque « Mon cheminement vers le végétalisme » (In French only)
March 17, 4 pm
George Laraque, former NHL hockey player and tough guy, describes how and why he became a vegan and an animal-rights activist. This event takes place in the Bistro Rondo.

Quebec painter, Marie Montiel, explores with great sensitivity the relationship between humans and animals. Learn more about her vision and artistic process.

Go Wild! Family Day
March 22, 2 – 5 pm
Meet some of the Granby Zoo’s animals and their keepers, as well as naturalists from the Marais de la Rivière aux cerises and TV personality, Stéphane Fallu!
At 4 pm, actress Pascale Montpetit and pianist Évelyne Brancart will bring Francis Poulenc’s “Babar the Little Elephant”to life in the Gilles-Lefebvre Concert Hall, to the delight of young and old alike. Concert presented by the Ville de Magog.
